    Detection principle
    The 2020 series portable volatile gas detectors, namely portable VOCS detectors, use a hydrogen flame ionization detector (FID), which is a typical destructive and mass detector. It uses the flame generated by the combustion of hydrogen and air as energy. When the organic compound enters the flame burning with hydrogen and oxygen, chemical ionization is generated at high temperature, and the ionization produces ions several orders of magnitude higher than the base flow. Amplified, it becomes an electrical signal proportional to the amount of organic compounds entering the flame, so the organic compounds can be quantitatively analyzed according to the size of the signal. The characteristics of the hydrogen flame detector are simple structure, excellent performance, stability and reliability, rapid response, accurate detection and wide linear range.
    The outstanding advantage of FID is that it has a response to almost all organic substances, especially the high sensitivity to smoke and the response is proportional to the number of carbon atoms. It is not sensitive to inorganic substances such as H2OsCO2, and CS〃, and is not sensitive to changes in gas flow rate, pressure and temperature.
    The handheld communicator is composed of an explosion-proof smartphone and portable VOCs analysis software. The handheld communicator communicates with the instrument through Bluetooth, and the APP realizes Bluetooth connection, ignition, calibration, reading, result recording and query.
